OUR PROJECTS
Pond clearing
This pond was full overgrown at the time. We cleared out the weeds and made a new bank for the pond, which improved the circulation and brought the pond back to life.
Pond clearing is the process of removing debris from the pond including leaves, sticks, and other floating and submerged debris. We also check the pond for any damage or obstructions.
This pond clearing project was designed to improve water clarity and quality for the enjoyment of all.
Swimming pool dig
This was a development job where the customer was installing a swimming pool pavillion in his garden to compliment his gym. This is a different process to your standard backyard pool, as you have to dig the hole first, then fill it with the concrete to provide the foundation, then build the pavilion on top.
As a digger + operator hire company, we were able to go in with our expertise, know exactly what the customer needed, provide an accurate time estimate for the project and a start date, and get the digging work done so that the rest of the contractors could come in and do their work. We even managed to save the customer money, because that’s how we work.
Pub Garden
This was a project we carried out for the Kilted Kangaroo pub in Dundee. As COVID restrictions were starting to loosen up, pubs had to prepare to be compliant with safety regulations to ensure they could operate outdoors and start getting some business back in. At the Kilted Kangaroo they were creating a flat area at the bottom of their beer garden to put up a permanent marquee.
Our digger pulled out the grass, levelled it over, added Type 1 hardcore, then gravel on top, to prepare the surface for the marquee and constant pounding of customers feet on the surface.
Wall overgrowth clearance
This customer had been trying to get the council to clear the verge overgrowth on the wall which was putting a huge strain on the wall, but the council wouldn’t come out and do it because it was a private road. So she decided to hire our mini digger services with a grab attachment to rip the bushes out.
We chose the Volvo mini digger as there was more room to manoeuvre, so with more power than the JCB micro digger we could get the job done more effectively. It turned out to be a huge saving for the future, as there was ivy growing up and over, which causes issues because it can become ground ivy. This over time would have destroyed the wall.
